It’s been quite a while since I last blogged about my adventures in cakes so I thought I would give a bit of an update, and include the huge amount of cake’age that I had over my birthday.

As people know my like for cake, my brothers girlfriend Gemmy made me an incredibly tasty Victoria Sponge cake :-) She also makes darn good Lemon Drizzle and Chocolate brownies. – I may have had to carefully taken the shot above as I might have had a large slice out of it ;-)

Sophie felt ‘for the man that has everything, buy cake’ so she got me a St Clements Cake – currently my favourite type of cake :-) Got this from my local Number One Coffee shop in Chippenham.

While on my travels in Bristol I’ve been to Patisserie Valerie quite a few times, and each time I find it overcrowded, with slow and lacking service and usually the coffee is burnt, but the cake!
